FAQ

WHY IS MY REGISTRATION STILL PENDING?

We have now started approving registration at the state level. We had to allow time for returning ambassadors to submit all remaining hours to determine their continued eligibility. All registrations, if the ambassador is eligible, should be completed by Thursday, June 1.

DO PARENTS STAY FOR THE EVENT?

No, parents who are not an agent/volunteer should make plans to drop their ambassador off at start of each day and pick them up at each day’s end time. Parents should arrive 10 minutes early and wait in the parking lot to pick up youth.

WHAT WILL I DO?

Our goal this year is to educate through experience. In addition to seminar style sessions, youth will be actively participating with hands-on learning. Please come ready to learn and move! This year’s summit will focus on nutrition, physical activity, and mental health. Participants will hear from experts in the field, and leave the summit with information, tools, and resources they can use at the local level!

WHAT DO I WEAR?

The dresscode for this event is casual (yet classy) with comfortable, close-toed shoes. Returning ambassadors are encouraged to wear their HTYA polo on Sunday and all ambassadors will wear their official 2023 HTYA polo on Monday. Please remember that we have professional speakers coming so no athletic shorts or midriff shirts. Nice jeans, shorts, and shirts are appreciated.

WHAT DO I BRING?

All returning ambassadors will need to bring their HTYA nametag. First year ambassadors will receive their nametag at check-in and all ambassadors will wear them for the duration of the summit.

WHERE DO I PARK?

You should park in lot 100A at Reed Arena. Parking permits have been updated on the TAMU Transportation Website. You are encouraged to pre-purchase your permit. You will need your vehicle license information when purchasing. Parking is $25 for the week which is Sunday – Thursday or $10/day. These are the same permits needed for Round-up parking so you can make a single purchase for the week. Parking permits are NOT needed for Sunday.

DO I NEED ANY MONEY?

No, all HTYA Super Summit expenses were covered in your pre-paid registration fee. Dinner on Sunday evening and lunch on Monday are included.

Complete agenda coming soon.

See you at the Summit!
