Event Overview

The Healthy Families, Healthy Communities Expo is a first-of-its-kind region wide community event for expectant mothers, young parents and their families in South Texas. The event will engage the entire family—from youngest to oldest—through education, demonstrations and information about lifestyle changes to improve their well-being and health outcomes. Participants will be encouraged to sign up for Healthy South Texas programs that focus on reducing the highest impact diseases and their consequences, including diabetes, asthma and infectious disease. By reaching young families, the Healthy Families, Healthy Communities Expo will have a lasting impact on the well-being of South Texans for generations to come.

With door prizes being given away every hour, attendees have multiple chances to walk away with prizes including:

  • Crib (including mattress, sheets and mobile)
  • All-in-one car seat
  • Portable playard
  • Toddler bed
  • Kids’ activity table and chairs
  • And much more!

Plus, the first 300 families through the door will receive diapers, and the first 750 families will receive diaper bags loaded with all the essentials!
