The physical activity booth kit is designed to support all types of exercises and activities by providing useful and relevant information and examples. Mix a few items from home (sneakers, hand weights, or a jump rope) with Agrilife materials like Walk Across Texas information and sign-up cards, resources from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, and a freebie or video to draw visitors in. This booth also pairs well with a small area physical activity for a prize like walking in place, an obstacle course, or hula hooping. Use the Walk Across Texas Events and Information Slideshow to show off the potential for getting communities, worksites, and schools together to move. Even if you don’t choose to put all the information out (which I don’t recommend), the resources aimed at adults and youth are useful for reviewing and having on hand in case you receive specific questions.
